Robert Scott Cox is an honors graduate of The Florida State University College of Law, with over twenty years experience in Federal and State Courts trying personal injury cases. Mr. Cox is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in civil trial matters. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which recognizes lawyers who have won verdicts of 1 million dollars or greater. In an independently conducted poll of local attorneys and judges, the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Registry Service awarded Mr. Cox its AV, or highest rating, for both professional competence and ethics. The Florida State University College of Law selected Mr. Cox as an adjunct professor to teach a semester long seminar in personal injury litigation in 1985 through 1987. Mr. Cox was formerly a partner with a major Tallahassee law firm.

Mr. Cox' outside interests include the Outward Bound School, an experimental education organization for young people and adults. Mr. Cox has served as secretary and is currently head of the Program and Safety Committee for the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. He serves on the Safety Committee for the national Outward Bound School. He has participated in expeditions in the United States, Africa, South America and Asia as part of Outward Bound's effort to impel young people and adults toward value forming experiences.

Mr. Cox served as counsel for the Magnetic Levitation Demonstration Project from 1981 to 1993. He was appointed to the National Academy of Science Transportation Research Board and has written extensively on high-speed transportation.
